Post what costume the graffiti gorgon is able to scrounge up before the holiday and I'll draw her in whatever suggestion gets the most likes.

If I started doing commissions, what would you want to request from me?

So I'm starting to realize that my to-do list has become very full lately. Between procrastinating with video games and suffering from writer's block, I haven't been getting much done. Sorry about that. So let me update you guys on my current shenanigans.

Warhammer
Lately I've been in a constant Warhammer 40000 mood, and can't seem to take my mind off of it. Sorry if this has been kind of a bare-bones month for any of you guys who watch me for my smutty literature instead, but I don't know how much longer I'm going to be feeling the 40k bug. For those of you who do watch me for 40k stuff, then this is probably the month for you. I'm revisiting my Squats ideas and trying to restructure a lot of my concept sketches and fandex plans now that 8th Edition has shaken up things in the galactic core. I'd like to at least draw some space dwarves if I find the time, but we'll see. While I'd also like to keep going with my Order of Salted Wounds sisters of battle, I don't really feel the need to rush them. It's also way too hot and humid in my house for me to feel like painting miniatures (also I'm a lazy bum). As for my 40k fanfiction and literature, I'm probably going to keep putting those off. I definitely plan on reviving both Continuum and Matryoshka's Mutants at some point or another, but as far as writing goes I definitely want to prioritize my other stuff like Flotation Device.

Flotation Device
Writer's Block hit me really hard in July. I've got half a story written out for our heroines to make their maiden voyage to the first mission planet. It was a tie between Toridia and Phaya for the first planet to visit, and I settled on Toridia because I've got more ideas to write for it right now than Phaya, and Phaya as this haunted gloomy planet might be a better fit for a later mission by comparison. Sorry it takes me so long to put these stories together, but I'll try to get it out sooner rather than later. I really hope I can get more votes and feedback out of you guys as the story continues, but that sort of leads into...

Abduction Arena
The main reason why I haven't added any new concepts for Abduction Arena is that it is going to be a very audience-driven kind of setup, and all of the options I've thought of for how to run each part of a given fight would be a rapid-pace series of rounds where you guys would comment on what you want to happen next and vote on how each girl attempts to fight their opponent until the match ends. Sadly, I feel like I'm just not getting the attention (whore that I am) that this kind of project needs in order to succeed. Honestly, I think I've lost or alienated a lot of you guys and I'd like to try and fix that and try to at least get my viewership back to how it was in years past before I go all-in with this project that requires a lot of audience participation in order to work. In the meantime, I also want to do my best to trim the fat of all of my projects and make enough room for Abduction Arena so I can one day focus primarily on it instead of balancing it between all of my other ideas. You know?

Naked Swords and the Fantasy Genre
Alright this one has been eating away at me recently. I've been exposed to a lot of fantasy in the past few weeks and I'm very much in the mood to write or draw it again. Now, you guys might remember that I used to write into the collaborative Naked Swords setting, but it's pretty much gone on hiatus at least in part due to me being a lazy bum and not wanting to write it anymore. So here's the thing: I would love to write a fantasy setting again, but I don't want to write Naked Swords anymore. I have no plans on getting back to it unless Bitter and Buffoon rope me into it again. It's just like, you ever have an rpg game or something and you wind up having to stop playing it for a few weeks even though you never got to finish it, and when you pick it back up it feels so awkward and you don't remember anything about where you left off so you just restart a new game from scratch anyway? Naked Swords feels like that to me. I definitely want to write smutty fantasy again, but I just don't want to get back into Naked Swords as a setting. If that makes any sense. I have some new ideas in mind, but if there is anything you guys wanted to suggest, definitely leave a comment.

How can I trick you guys into giving me money?
To cap all of this off, I had a revelation recently: I would actually pay money for my own artwork now. Like, I still don't think I'm that great, but looking back on my old deviations, I feel like I've come a long way since I started out, and while I still struggle with plenty of artsy concepts that I don't even know the terminology for, I think I've finally reached a point where I think my artwork can actually be worth a few pennies. So now the question is: How do I trick you guys into giving me money? Patreon? Commissions? Start a new religion? I'm just not sure. I'd very much like to leave both of my dead-end jobs and get paid for my doodles instead, so if you guys have any advice, I'm all ears.

So obviously I have to doodle something 40k related to celebrate. Any ideas?

A lot of big changes have happened in my personal life, and I decided to ditch my three-year-old moniker to get a new one. I had a good run as wightpower, but it was time for a change.

My New Years' Resolution is to make some money off of my artwork. I'm tired of working retail, I want this to be my job now. I'm not 100% sure what form that is going to take, though. It could be Patreon, or maybe I'll start doing commissions, I don't know. With both of my jobs cutting my hours lately, I'll be able to ease into drawing more stuff and getting a feel for what I want to do with my work in the future.

As for my projects themselves, there's still a lot I want to get done that I wasn't able to do last year. Abduction Arena is still on my mind, I just need to get to writing it. On the other hand, I really don't know when I'll be in the mood for another Flotation Device story. It's not off the table, but I'm just not sure when I'll pick it back up. As for Naked Swords, well... I really don't know if I'll ever get back to writing it.

For derivative fanart and the like, I'm probably going to keep doing my Warhammer 40000 stuff, but I think I'm going to be limiting it to occasional works in-between my own projects. Star Wars artwork might come up more often, if my new name is any indicator, but no more than anything else. I don't know if I'll ever draw anything about Touhou again, but you never know. As for Pokémon, I'm certainly back in the mood for it now that I'm playing Sun and Moon, so stay tuned for that if you're into it. Finally, I don't plan to make any more custom Yugioh cards in the foreseeable future, because instead I want to design my own cards for my own card game, Mastermind. Which is a theme you'll start to notice as I keep going forward – I'm going to start recycling my older fanart and ideas into things that I can actually use myself for my own intellectual property.

If that makes any sense. This is all a spur-of-the-moment transition, but overall you guys probably won't notice any big changes here. Keep an eye on me, and I'll try to make it worth your while!
